About Us

Woking Youth is a charity based in Woking, providing long term support to local young people, no matter the situation they find themselves in. We offer safe spaces for young people to participate in purposeful activities with positive role models to help them to be encouraged, engaged and empowered individuals.

We are newly established in Woking. We are looking to provide a number of youth projects including centre based, detached and outreach work.

Our Team

Our team consists of highly qualified and motivated youth workers. We are passionate about seeing young people flourish and dedicated to providing the best platforms to enable this to happen.

Adam Davey

Chief Executive Officer
Youth worker
(Voluntary Role)

Adam is a qualified youth worker with 15 years’ experience in running youth provision in various places and circumstances including detached youth work, running open access youth clubs and alternative learning provision. 

I believe all young people have the right to the best services and futures they can have and am passionate about recognising the importance of locality in youth work to fulfil this. 

I have a degree in Youth work and a masters degree in Social Research. 

Briony Foat

Chief Operating Officer
Youth worker
(Voluntary role) 

Briony is a qualified youth worker who has worked in Woking for the past 13 years. Both as a community youth worker and also a schools based youth worker in several of the local schools.

I am passionate about long term support for all young people, no matter their circumstances or situations. I believe in the transformative impact that youth work has in young people's lives and love being part of their journey in life! 

I have an undergraduate degree in Law and a masters degree in Youth and Community Work. 

Our Trustees 

Our board consists of highly talented and motivated individuals who have a passion for seeing young people succeed and for Woking. 

Jane De La Rosa

Jane is our Chair of Trustees.

Jane's career has taken her into a range of different areas including investment banking, Higher Education, Health and Wellbeing charities and currently local government, predominantly working as a Communications professional.  

A stint as a Science Technician and subsequently Form Tutor in a Surrey secondary school, ignited her interest in enabling young people to achieve their potential and brought her to being a Trustee for Woking Youth. She is also a volunteer mentor for a Year 10 student.

Dan Jespersen

Dan is passionate about influencing positive outcomes for young people and equipping them to achieve and to thrive. 

Combined experience in commercial, education and charitable sectors puts Dan in a distinctive position to bring a broad range of perspectives and insights.

In his position as a Trustee, he utilises his skills in problem-solving, galvanising and pioneering

Ed Stokes

Edward was a youth worker in London and Surrey for over 10 years, working with young people in schools, churches and youth clubs.

Whilst now working as a delivery driver, he is still passionate to see young people thrive and flourish, so is very excited to bring his experience and passion to Woking Youth.

Fay Kearley

Fay has spent her career working within supported housing and the charitable sector, specifically with the homeless and vulnerable adults in our area.  

Fay brings a wealth of knowledge of local services and well-being support to her role at Woking Youth.

Want to get involved?

Volunteer

We are always looking for people to join our youth team. We will provide relevant training and support to all our volunteers.

We are looking for people who can spare a few hours a week to spend time with young people, play games, teach skills or simply be available to listen. 

There are lots of ways you can can get involved both in direct work but also behind the scenes.

Fundraise

We rely heavily on the generous donations from people who are as passionate about young people as we are.

There are loads of fun and exciting ways to raise money for Woking Youth, whether running a race, baking a cake or doing something inventive!
